Mr. Philippines World Andrew Wolff with Mr. World 2012 Francisco Javier Escobar Parra of Colombia
Mr. World Philippines Andrew Wolff was declared Mr. World 2012 second placer and multimedia challenge awardee during the November 24 competition finale at the Kent Event Centre in England, United Kingdom.
Colombia’s Francisco Javier Escobar Parra got the Mr. World title, while Leo Delaney of Ireland placed third.
Wolff won the multimedia challenge that gained him a slot in the top ten semifinalists.
“Philippines won the Multimedia Challenge with his energetic and engaging creations on his social media pages. He was deemed to have created the most exciting, informative and inventive news stories,” says an article on the Mr. World website.

Meet Andrew James Peñaflorida Wolff: killer smile, good looks, brains, and most important of all, a heart. He’s also our official Mr. World Philippines (MWP) representative to the Nov. 24 , 2012 international pageant at Kent, England.
Where most pageants are about good looks, MWP director Cory Quirino explains during a media conference that Mr. World is also involved with serving society’s less fortunate; the pageant serves as a vehicle to promote a message of love, peace.
The 6’2 tall Andrew Wolff—who is of Filipino-British descent and a member of the Philippine Volcanoes—embodies all the qualities of Mr. World, says Quirino. The model/actor/athlete’s name came up in an internal judging consisting of 20 members who, in the end, unanimously voted for Wolff. Other prospective representatives mostly came from talent agencies. Wolff, says Quirino, is the ideal representative to the competitions because he uses his gifts both physically and intellectually and actively gives back to society.
Lady luck is flashing her winningest smile at Andrew Wolff. First, his team, the Philippine Volcanoes, clinched the 2013 Rugby World Cup Seven Slot in Singapore. This means the team — and the country — will surely compete at next year’s World Cup in Moscow.
Then, Mr. World licensee Cory Quirino tapped him to represent the Philippines at the international male pageant in England on Nov. 24. One look at the checklist of requirements and Cory knew she found her man in Andrew.
